I will not read big words or news, I will not read your don’ts and dos. I will read things that make me laugh, I will read all about giraffes. Why oh why oh why, you say? It’s
NATIONAL YOUNG READERS DAY!
Books, books, and more books!
We all have our childhood favorites, from the Brothers Grimm to Mother Goose to Maurice Sendak to Stan Lee to Charles Schultz to Lewis Carroll to Doctor Seuss to Robert Louis Stevenson to Mark Twain and J.K. Rowling.
Theirs are the books, comics and stories that made us fall in love with reading, that took us on fantastic trips to impossible places, challenging us to exercise our imaginations and use our noodles.
Turns out our ABCs were a front row ticket to the entire universe, and there’s no rules against learning anything. How cool is that? Let’s take a raft down the Mississippi to where the wild things are today, and see if Horton still hears a Who.
