INTERGALACTIC STAR WARS DAY!

The fertile mind of George Lucas gave us Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obi Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Yoda, R2D2, C3-PO, Chewbacca and a deliciously wicked Evil Emperor, plus a whole bunch of other great characters, telling a sweeping multigenerational story on the grandest of scales.

The Star Wars movies were a sensation, each one an instant addition to popular cultural lore, while spawning a billion dollar toy industry. They have also spawned generations of obsessed nerds, but that’s the price the rest of us pay for enjoying the most original and entertaining Space Saga of them all. May the Fourth be with you.
