The old saying, “Let’s run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it” refers to trying out new ideas and doing unusual things, and you’re thinking, “yeah, great!”

Consider where some of your other brainstorms have landed you, like that time you swore Big Bruno’s girl had the hots for you. Doesn’t that limp you still have when it’s damp out tell you anything?
How about your decision to chuck your job and sink your life savings into a Beta Max-only video store? Not your finest hour.
Don’t forget your bright idea to propose to a stripper named Tiffany Lamp after a three day drinking binge in Atlantic City. Okay, she turned you down, but that “Tiffany” tattoo was damned painful and expensive to have removed. From your cheek, Skippy!
So, enjoy your holiday today but, please, think responsibly!
