NATIONAL HUG AN AUSTRALIAN DAY!

Sure, we only understand about every fourth word they say, but that word is usually “beer” so, no worries, mate!

Australians live on the very bottom of the world in a land called Down Under where, between the kangaroos, dingo dogs, alligators and the blood rushing to their heads from living upside down, they’ve developed a more relaxed take on life than most European-based societies.

Australians spend their spare time aimlessly wandering the Outback, firing up the barbie, inventing new slang words, throwing boomerangs around and squinting in the sun. That is, when they’re not surfing in shark-infested waters.

Most of the men are named Jack, all the women are called Sheila, everyone eats mutton twice a day, regrets their ancestors killing all those Aborigines back in the day, and they don’t invade anybody. Australians, good on ya!

•Suggested Activities: Playing “Penal Colony Blues” on didgeridoo.
