INTERNATIONAL MARK ANTONY GETS LUCKY DAY!

It was the day before the Ides of March, and Caesar’s assassins were holding their last meeting before making Julius Kabob of Caesar on the Roman Senate floor. There was a lot of earnest talk about taking out Mark Antony too, Caesar’s protege and right-hand man. Antony was also a dangerous general who, in the way of all Roman generals, had his own army loyal only to him. Casca, Brutus and Cassius came to regret their decision, as Mark Antony went on to live 14 more years of making life miserable for his Roman rivals and falling for Cleopatra, Caesar’s former old lady. The Queen of Egypt gave him 2 children and a base of operations from which to wage war. Eventually, he was defeated by Octavius and committed double suicide with Cleopatra, but he made 14 years of important history that would never have occurred if not for the decisions made on March 14, 44 BCE. Salud, Mark Antony!
